25th Anniversary Wine Dinner at Biga

  • Biga 4329 South Peoria Avenue Tulsa, OK, 74105 United States (map)

Biga is excited to have our longtime friend John Williams from Premium Brands and our granddaughter Zoe Curren for our 25th anniversary wine dinner,

YES, IT'S BEEN 25 YEARS!!!

Zoe was 4 years old when we opened Biga and John has been the longest recurring speaker at Biga, 25 years. Each picked two fantastic Italian wines for the dinner. We will be drinking a Prosecco, Soave, Rosso di Montalcino and finish with a Barolo.

Angel and I will prepare a dinner to pair with the wines. We will start with a fried risotto ball, a Vanetian shrimp with polenta, a lamb lasagna, and a filet with porcini mushroom sauce. We will finish with a pistachio tiramisu.

Please join us for this milestone.

Antipasti

Risotto Ball, Olives, Prosciutto

Wine-Bellussi Prosecco Rose DOCG, Veneto

“The nose presents an intense aromatic profile, offering an original palate of small berries (raspberries, cherries and wild strawberries) and hints of citrus notes. The palate shows up fruity notes of pink grapefruit, delightful silky body with a dry finish.”

1st Course

Venetian Shrimp and Polenta

Wine-Corte Giacobbe Soave Corte Giacobbe DOC , Veneto

“This Soave greets you with wafting, pillow-like aromas that gently caress the senses as light herbal notes intertwine with citrus and fresh orchard fruit, drizzled with a delicate floral honey and almonds. On the palate, a solid mineral kick emerges, offering flinty and smoky undertones. The mouthwatering acidity and texture, akin to biting into a crisp green-apple skin, create a bright and tart sensation.”

Pasta Course

Lamb Ragu Lasagna

Wine-Ciacci Piccolomini D'aragona Rosso Di Montalcino Rossofonte, Tuscany

“The Rossofonte is produced from a careful manual selection of Estate-grown Sangiovese Grosso grapes, a serious wine that captures the essence of the Ciacci style. Though far from ordinary, this red is naturally more approachable than the Brunello, with fruity perfumes of wild cherries and ripe berries and balsamic notes of tobacco, cedar mint and lavender. Sensations of sweetness and acidity alternate in the mouth, to finish with fine, powdery tannins and spicy nuances of star anise and pink pepper.”

Entrée

Seared Beef Filet with Porcini Mushrooms

Wine-Einaudi Barolo Ludo DOCG, Piedmont

“The Barolo Docg Ludo is our classic Barolo, produced with the grapes of Nebbiolo that come from the young estates that are in the area of production of the Denomination.

A wine of great class, with a brilliant red colour slightly amber with time, exuberant in its fragrance of fruit and spices, of great body, full and velvety with a long final taste of goudron and spices.

The tannic characteristics guarantee a long life in bottle in the best vintages, also 20 years.”

Dessert

Pistachio Tiramisu

$75 per person
