My Favorite Things with Chef Shannon Smith
Some of the most meaningful moments in my life have happened around a table. For one special evening on August, 31 I'm inviting you to join me for a dinner that celebrates the dishes, people, and places that have shaped my life.
We'll dine on some of my favorite recipes passed down from my mother, shared by dear friends around the world, and prepared for people who have become part of my own story. Every course has a memory behind it.
The table itself tells a story, too. You'll be eating from a collection of dishware gathered over a lifetime, from my grandmother's treasured china and pieces from my first marriage to beautiful finds from kitchens and markets I've discovered during my travels around the world.
This is more than a dinner. It's an evening of food, conversation, memories, and connection. I hope you'll pull up a chair and become part of the story.
The Menu:
Wanda’s Peach Salad
Cheeseburger Soup
Mom’s Pot Roast with Potatoes
Fried Chicken and cornbread scones
Coconut Cream Pie
$220 per person

It was here that Justin featured the dish that started it all for him as a chef, Chicken Marsala. This year we're featuring more Tavolo favorites including uovo fritto and halibut picatta! Join us for a glimpse back at the food that filled the Philtower for nearly 7 years.

The best wine is the wine that is shared.
Without generosity, cellars become beautifully curated graveyards, full of bottles waiting too long to tell the stories they were born to tell.
Wine is an agricultural food, born from the earth, shaped by human hands, and meant to nourish not only the table, but also connection.
So stop waiting for the special occasion that may never come.
Bring your best bottle. Let it age no further in isolation. Let’s taste the impossible together.
July 27th. Space is limited.
