Tablas Creek Vineyard Wine Dinner at Biga

  • Biga 4329 South Peoria Avenue Tulsa, OK, 74105 United States (map)

Darren Delmore was raised by restaurateurs in San Luis Obispo, California. After stints in competitive surfing and publishing as an editor at Surfing Magazine, he embarked on an oenological odyssey that steered him through ten wine harvests in California, Oregon and Australia. He worked with Rhone varietals at Bonny Doon Vineyard, punched down Pinot Noir at the Hirsch Vineyard, and blackened his palms at Two Hands in the Barossa Valley of Australia. Most recently, he represented Goldeneye Winery in Anderson Valley as a Wine Educator before joining Tablas Creek as National Sales Manager in 2012.

Wine-Tablas Creek Patelin De Tablas Rouge Blanc, Paso Robles

“The Tablas Creek Vineyard Patelin de Tablas Blanc is a blend of six white Rhône and Rhone-adjacent varieties: Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Vermentino, and Picpoul Blanc with fruit from sixteen top Rhone vineyards in Paso Robles, each vineyard selected for its quality. Like many white wines from the Southern Rhône, it is based on the crisp acids and rich mouthfeel of Grenache Blanc, with Viognier for floral, tropical aromatics and luscious stone fruit flavors, Roussanne and Marsanne for structure and spice, and additions of Vermentino and Picpoul Blanc for brightness and texture.”

Wine-Tablas Creek Patelin De Tablas Rose, Paso Robles

“The Tablas Creek Vineyard Patelin de Tablas Rosé is a rosé blend in the tradition of Provence, produced from three red Rhône varietals: Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Counoise, with a small addition of the white grape Vermentino. The wine incorporates fruit from nine top Rhône vineyards in Paso Robles, each vineyard selected for its quality. Like most rosé wines from the Rhône Valley, it is based on the bright strawberry fruit and fresh acidity of Grenache, with additions of deeper red fruit and structure from Mourvèdre, spice from Counoise, and citrusy lift from Vermentino -- a white grape that is increasingly important in many Provence rosés.”

Wine-Tablas Creek Patelin De Tablas Rouge, Paso Robles

" The Tablas Creek Vineyard Patelin de Tablas is a Paso Robles take on a classic Rhône blend: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Counoise. The wine incorporates fruit from several of the top Rhône vineyards in Paso Robles, each vineyard selected for its quality. Like many red wines from the Rhône Valley, it is based on the dark fruit, mineral and spice of Syrah. To that Syrah, we incorporate the brightness and fresh acidity of Grenache, the structure and meatiness of Mourvèdre, and small additions of Counoise for complexity."
