Tulsa Hills Wine Cellar invites try some tasty bubbly with us! With the New Year coming up what a better time to try some potential bubbly to ring in 2024 with? Ashley will be showcasing some perfect picks for a cocktail or even just a toast for the occasion!
Avinyó Reserva Brut Cava - An honest and transparent entry into the beloved traditional-method sparkling wines of Catalonia. It is delicious, unpretentious sparkling wine you can drink every day, made by one of the nicest and most authentic family estates on the planet. The wine is made from 60% macabeo, 25% xarel-lo, and 15% parellada from organically-farmed estate vines planted from 1945 to 2017 at Can Fontanals from 250m to 275m elevation.
Moutard, Blanc de Blanc - Diligent extends over 25 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyards in Chablis and Tonnerois. Never resting on laurels, the family has ventured into Burgundy, a logical avenue for expansion given its proximity to Champagne and grape varietal mix. History, tradition and a commitment to unsurpassable quality define the domaine. This beautiful sparkling wine gives you everything you love from champagne; the bready/brioche quality, very fine bubbles, and a long lingering finish.
Ostro Prosecco - We looked far and wide for a Prosecco that would impress, and found it here in its native land, Friuli. Cooling winds from the nearby Alps keep summer temperatures at bay; richly mineral soils are the legacy of ancient glaciers that carved each verdant valley and smoothed each rocky plain. Yet it is the playful Ostro, the south wind that travels from the Adriatic
Sea with its fresh, sea-salty tang, that encourages Glera’s lively flavors and vibrant citrus tones.
Almacita Brut - This hand harvested sparkling wine is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from multiple vineyards within the Uco Valley. The nose is bursting with notes of peach, pineapple, mango, mandarin, and watermelon that lead into a bright and fresh palate laced with green apple and a touch of fresh baked bread. Tight bubbles, a touch of sweetness, and toasted almonds with fine chalky tannins round out this delicious wine.
There will be two sessions: 5:30pm and 6:30pm. The tasting will be held indoors at the Tulsa Hills Cigar Cellar.
