“Our focus is on this beautiful valley we call home. Varietals and sites will differ from year to year, intentionally. The three of us live on the Central Coast and are forever amazed at how many sites provide so many differing expressions.
The quote on the back label refers to an old Cornish saying (it sounds quite amazing when heard through Jason’s accent): What’s said of old, is said in truth. Applied to wine, this conveys our intentions to being true to where we are, and crafting honest expressions of this ancient golden land, in the year we find ourselves.”
– Angela Osborne, Land of Saints Wine Company
1st Course
Fried Oyster Tostada with Chipotle Vinaigrette
Wine-Land of Saints Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Barbara
“90+ Our Score (3/2019) Bright, refreshing and superbly well balanced, the mouthwateringly good Land of Saints Sauvignon Blanc is simply a pleasure to drink. From the first sip, this bottling from Angela Osborne will put a big smile on your face. Angela is famous as the founder/winemaker of A Tribute to Grace wines. This is the first Sauvignon Blanc we have bought from her, and it is a real beauty. Look for enticingly delicious flavors of ripe apple and pear along with notes of freshly squeezed citrus and a hint of crunchy bell pepper. Very good stuff here!”
2nd Course
Red Chile Glazed Salmon with Black Bean Sauce
and Jalapeno Crema
Wine-Land of Saints Pinot Noir, San Luis Obispo
“You may have heard of musical supergroups; well this is the wine equivalent. When three winemakers get together, their talents can dilute or multiply, and in the case of Land of Saints, we are grateful that it is a moment of multiplication. Less than 500 cases of this was made from the Quinta Del Mar Vineyard in San Luis Obispo. The palate is soft and pretty with a light spice to the pretty cherry, oak spice and a light minerality. The palate is pretty and light with a hit of minerals and pretty red fruits.”
Entrée
Honey-Tamarind Baby Back Ribs
Bacon Ranch Potato Salad
Wine-Land of Saints Cabernet Sauvignon, Santa Barbara
"Varietally accurate scents of cassis, licorice, herbs and graphite. A juicy, leanish midweight with modest concentration but decent cut; dry in an Old-World way but ultimately supple. Even, dusty tannins give grip to the finish."
Dessert
Strawberry Fool
$45 per person
