On Thursday, May 30th Tulsa Hills Wine Cellar will be hosting a tasting featuring 5 wines from a Certified Organic winery. Mendocino Wine Company works hard to maintain a sustainable wine making process and believe in leaving the world better than they found it. The winery was hand built without electricity in 1912 by an Italian immigrant with his two sons and have remained family owned and operated. Here are some of our picks we are excited to share with you.
Parducci Small Lot Chardonnay- Medium-weight, with a nice crisp acidity, this wine strikes the perfect balance between warm oak creaminess and bright juicy fruit.
Parducci Small Lot Pinot Noir- A medium bodied wine with soft tannins and bright acidity that carries through to a juicy finish with a kiss of sun ripened strawberries.
True Grit Reserve Petite Sirah- True Grit Petite Sirah has captivating aromas of blackberry, black currant, and tobacco, with subtle notes of cola. On the palate, flavors of black cherry and plum intermingle with enticing notes of licorice, nutmeg, and vanilla.
True Grit Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon- has warm earthy aromas mingled with ripe blackberry, cocoa, and hints of cigar box. The palate is full of rich brooding dark-fruit married with flavors of black cherry, baker’s chocolate, and vanilla.
Paul Dolan Sauvignon Blanc- shows tantalizing aromas of melon and pear with fresh tropical fruit. On the palate, the tropical notes carry through to a mouthwatering crispness that is rounded out by ripe green apple, honeydew, and zesty citrus. Full-flavored and beautifully balanced, it is a wine that invites another sip and pairs magnificently with a variety of foods.
