Shephardic Wine Dinner with Chef Shannon Smith

  • 6600 South Harvard Avenue Tulsa, OK, 74136 United States (map)

SOLD OUT

Join me and my special guest, Gil Hovav, for a very special Sephardic Jewish feast on the evening of November 13.

Ten years ago, Gil and I met in Tel Aviv and became long-time friends, traveling throughout Israel, tasting food and wine from nearly every region. Gil Hovav is a celebrity storyteller in Israel. He writes and speaks about the humorous life he lived in Jerusalem and the powerful women who raised him. He recently wrote a novel about the love affair between his grandparents and is touring the US while sharing his stories titled "Little Dishes and Great Women.”

Gil and I will prepare a Sephardic dinner, which encompasses food from the Sephardic Jews who lived in Spain and Portugal for centuries. Many, including Gil's family, returned to Israel, bringing recipes and stories with them. This will be an entertaining evening with a 4-course dinner paired with wines and story-telling and one of my very first events in my newly redesigned dining room! I hope you’ll join us!
