South American Wine Dinner at Biga

  • Biga 4329 South Peoria Avenue Tulsa, OK, 74105 United States (map)

1st Course
Creamy Lemon Shrimp Pasta
Fried Capers

Wine-Longavi Gulp Rosato, Maule Valley Chile

“A bold color and aromas of clover and red apple skins lead to a palate that's dry and a bit astringent. Citrus flavors are simple, with a hint of red bell pepper, while a short finish doesn't evolve. This Maule rosé is made from Garnacha, Monastrell and País. — Michael Schachner.”88 pts

2nd Course
Chicken Empanada
Red Chili Sauce and Roast Corn Salsa

Wine-Longavi Gulp Carignan, Maule Valley Chile

“This from decomposed granitic soils. It’s fermented in concrete tank without temperature control and then aged in barrel. A vivid red purple colour, this is fresh and aromatic with lovely pure, bright cherry and raspberry fruit. There’s a bit of grippy tannin and a fresh chalky mouthfeel. So fragrant, fresh and drinkable, but with a bit of substance to it also. Lovely stuff. 94/100”

Entrée
Beef Filet with Red Chimichurri

Wine-Bueyes “Retinto” Malbec, Mendoza Argentina

" Heavy oak on the nose yields a mocha aroma that runs alongside green scents of grass and herbs. This Malbec is thick and sticky in feel, with murky, roasted flavors of barbecued meats and prune, while a short finish revolves around baked black-fruit flavors, jammy weight and oak.”

Dessert
Dulce de Leche Flan

$50 per person
