Gilcrease is thrilled to partner with Polo Grill and Ancien Wines for a very special wine dinner. Ancien co-founder and winemaker Ken Bernards will be with us to share personal insights into his winemaking, vineyard selection and the importance of soil composition in creating his wines. Ken and Ancien were featured at Gilcrease’s wine dinner in November 2018, and we’re delighted to have him back as we resume the Gilcrease wine dinner tradition.
Limited Seating. Advanced registration is required. All ticket sales are final.

For $75 more per person, your dinner purchase includes a gift to Gilcrease*, a copy of the book How a Mountain Was Made by Greg Sarris, and a chance to win a framed archival reproduction from the Gilcrease collection by William R. Leigh. How a Mountain Was Made features tribal stories of Sonoma Mountain where the grapes in this evening's featured wines were grown. Sonoma Mountain is the ancestral home of the Coast Miwok and Pomo cultures. Greg Sarris is the Chairman of the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria in California and Graton Rancheria Endowed Chair in Writing and Native American Studies at Sonoma State University.
All dinner guests will have the chance to bid on an exclusive Ancien vertical, courtesy of Ancien winemaker and co-founder, Ken Bernards. The vertical features the 2005-2009 vintages from the Sonoma Mountain Red Dog vineyard. These wines are from the Ancien cellar and are not available outside of the winery.
