Tulsa Botanic Garden will be celebrating the release of the 2021 Beaujolais Nouveau wines at their Beaujolais et Lumière dinner on Friday, November 19 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Beaujolais Nouveau wines are, by French law, released worldwide at 12:01 a.m. on the third Thursday in November, celebrated as “Beaujolais Nouveau Day”. The young, red wines are produced almost immediately after harvest and made with the Gamay grape variety that is grown in the Beaujolais region of France.
The dinner will be held in the Garden’s J.E. and L.E. Mabee Grange, 3900 Tulsa Botanic Dr., which will be transformed to give the feel of a French bistro with intimate seating of tables of 2, 4 or 6. Bill Lyle, executive chef of The Summit Club will be preparing the dinner and newly released Beaujolais Nouveau wines will be served. Guests will also have the first-glimpse at Botanic Garden of Lights, the Garden’s annual holiday light festival which opens to the public on Nov. 26.
Tickets are $500 with proceeds benefiting the Botanic Garden and can be purchased by contacting Nancy Moore, Director of Development at the Botanic Garden at 918-289-0330 or email Nancy@tulsabotanic.org or online at www.TulsaBotanic.org.
