“Yolyn and Nick Goldschmidt are owner/vintners, and Nick is the winemaker. The winery offices

are located in Healdsburg. Both originally from New Zealand, Yolyn and Nick have spent time

living and working in the wine areas of New Zealand, Australia and South America.

Goldschmidt Vineyards is a vehicle by which Nick and Yolyn present their innovative way of

wine making and wine presentation. There are two brands under their portfolio – the prestigious

Goldschmidt Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon label, and the international Forefathers label.

The Goldschmidt Vineyard label is a program designed to showcase single vineyard source

wines from both the Alexander Valley and Napa Valley Oakville appellations. The goal is create

wines that highlight the distinct characters, benefits and attributes derived from these site

specific harvests. Goldschmidt Vineyards Cabernets are crafted with the best possible

resources to achieve exceptional richness, quality and balance – the hallmarks of world-class

wines.

Joined periodically in the field by their five children, the Goldschmidt expertise is being passed

down to the next generation, as evidenced in the wines released under the labels Chelsea

Goldschmidt, Hilary Goldschmidt and Katherine Goldschmidt.”

1st Course

Poached Pear, Prosciutto and Arugula Salad

Wine-Boulder Bank Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough New Zealand

““Intensely aromatic and forward. The orange, passion fruit, and guava flavors are underpinned

with a touch of fresh herb and flint. Vibrant and zingy with great balance and a long, crisp finish.”

2nd Course

Pasta Puttanesca

Wine-Fidelity Red Wine, Alexander Valley

82% Merlot, 12% Cabernet, 6% Petite Verdot

“Color is a purple hue with a red middle. Aromas of fresh blueberries and red cherries. The

touch of French vanilla oak rounds out a very enticing and complex nose. The palate is again

fruit driven. Bright and well-structured with red fruit flavors and a supple finish. Tremendous

value for a red blend from a winemaker of more than 30 years in the Alexander Valley. Drink

now or over the next five years.”

Entrée

Sirloin Steak Diane

Wine-Katherine Goldschmidt Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley

“The color is bright and deep. Purple edges with deep red middle. The nose is fruit driven with

ripe raspberries, black cherry and plum. In other words, it smells just how a cabernet grape

ought to. In the mouth, complexity is key. Lush, ripe cherries and ripe blue berries on the front of

the tongue. The mid-mouth is all about power and richness, comprised of dark plum and hints of

chocolate. The finish has supple round tannins with a long, elegant finish. Drink now, or over the

next 10 years... if you can wait that long!”

Dessert

Spice Cake with Bourbon-Pecan Frosting

$45 per person
