Wine-Aplanta Vinho Regional Alentejano Red Blend
“Dark garnet tinged purple. On the nose, lush blueberry, plum and red cherry aromas, overlaid with slate mineral. On the palate, a core of red cherry and blueberry fruit is wrapped with hints of fresh tobacco, black pepper and spice. Plush and refreshing all at once. Very jammy bouquet. Fruit forward wine that finished with medium tannins and some savory flavors. Red blend makes it difficult to tease apart specific flavors like leather and herbs but they are present and delicious. Clearly oaked.”

Wine-Quinta de Saes, Dao Tinto
“Quinta da Pellada’s wines are produced at the hands of Alvaro Castro, who is arguably the best winemaker in all of the Dao. Tradition and modernity gorgeously collide at this stunning estate, which focuses on indigenous regional varieties. ‘Quinta de Saes’ is an organic field blend of native varieties, fermented in steel and aged for 24 months in used oak. The wine is aromatic and spicy, marked by flavors of red and black fruit, wet earth, and wild herbs.”
